Testing

By law, you are required to select and take either a breath test or a blood test when you are stopped by law enforcement and they believe you are intoxicated by alcohol or drugs. Consequently, you will lose you license if you refuse one of these tests.

Unfortunately, the Breath Testing machines are not reliable. First, the machines must be calibrated at set dates during the year. And secondly, the law enforcement officer must be trained properly. As a result many of these tests are flawed.

Similarly, blood testing can also be unreliable because the police often mishandle the blood sample. One example is leaving the sample overnight in the police car and temperature changes damage the sample.

Similarly, police often mishandle the roadside SFT tests which are not required by law. These are the physical tests on the side of the road that few people can pass. Therefore, do not take the roadside tests.
